Phyllis Flick profile
Phyllis Flick had always dreamed of moving to Paris. She studied at the Sorbonne for a summer in her early twenties and fell in love--with Paris that is. She always hoped to return for a more permanent stay, but things like finding a job and being responsible always took precedence. After graduating from Temple University, she worked as a restaurant manager and event coordinator in a popular French brasserie. Later, she went back to school and began teaching in the Philadelphia public school system, but never forgot her dream of living in Paris. She continued studying at the Alliance Française, practiced French with anyone who would listen (not so easy in Philadelphia) and finally decided to take a month long course at the well-known Institut Français on the French Rivera, hoping this would finally quench her desire to live in France.Unfortunately, Philadelphia didn’t quite look the same after spending a few months along the Cote d’Azur and one year later she packed her bags and moved to the City of Light. She is now delighted to be a member of the BP team and couldn’t think of a more perfect job: spending her days investigating and writing about the city she loves best: Paris.
