Amanda Pilar Smith profile

Amanda was born in Mexico, but grew up in New York City. She studied hotel administration at Cornell University, and earned a Masters in Agriculture Economics before leaving Ithaca. With her passion for travel guiding her, she has visited and/or lived in: Thailand, Hong Kong, South Africa, France, Mexico, and the US. Her love of food & photography led her to co-authoring the book: Paris in a Basket. She has recently launched a New York City-based catering company with the same orientation of her book: preparing dishes with seasonal ingredients in a simple, yet sophisticated manner to bring out the wholesome, basic qualities of the food.
