Monique Y. Wells profile

Monique studied French since pre-school, and minored in French in college. She took up catering as a hobby while in graduate school and has managed to keep cooking a part of her life while juggling her other work activities. In 1991, she met her husband, Roy T. Reeves (Tom), in the Bay Area in California when they both attended a dinner given by a professor at the Alliance Francaise East Bay. They moved to Paris, France permanently in 1992, and were married in Paris. Monique is co-owner of Discover Paris! and author of Paris Reflections: Walks Through African-American Paris (co-author with BP writer Christiann Anderson, 2002); Food for the Soul - A Texas Expatriate Nurtures Her Culinary Roots in Paris (2000).
