This exhibition is in conjunction with the Girodet exhibition. It encompasses a series of drawings by David’s students. The students:  Anne-Louis Girodet, François Gérard, and Jean-Antoine Gros show how skillfully and gracefully they learned Jacques-Louis David’s teachings.  However, their individual styles and talents shine through as well.

The museum of Orsay opened to the public in December 1986.  Its goal was to show the artistic creations of the Western world from 1848 to 1914.  The museum has accomplished this and much more.  The collections of the museum come mainly from the Louvre, the Play of Palm museum and the museum of Modern Art.

This exhibit has the Harmony Sierra Delta and the Protype 001.  If you are interested in planes then this is the exhibit for you.  These two aircrafts are   among the most beautiful ever built.  The exhibit is set up in such a way that visitors are able to go from one plane to the other by way of a footbridge.  It is a unique and exciting showing.

The plot of the story is about a mother and her son and the empire she establishes for him.  Enter the love of another woman into the scene and you have the making of a great story. The energy that is created by the two women over this man is the crux of the story.

The town of Nice founded the municipal Symphony Orchestra in 1945. It is n orchestra of 100 musicians. The Symphony will be performing Cinderella.  Since its reorganization under Pierre Doctor the Director at the time, the philharmonic Orchestra of Nice has become well recognized.

French photographer Luc Delahaye captures the grim and desolate reality of war and terrorism in his beautifully done images.  From the destruction of bombed houses in Palestine to the contrast of beautifully robed cardinal in session this artist allows us to see the world in a different light as well as making a strong comment on the actions of decision makers from both the East and the West.

This is a splendid show honouring Willy Ronis on his 95th birthday.  The photographs displayed here show his series of Paris that he took in the 1940’s and 1950’s.  There is more than just history here, this is a must see exhibit.

This is a double tribute to director Jean Renoir by the Cinematheque.   A complete retrospective of his films paired with film clips of his father (painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir) are what you are in store for.  This is a must see for any and all Renoir lovers.

This wonderful huge underground shopping Centre could qualify as one of Paris’s malls.  It is open every day of the year for convenience.  It boasts more than 35 shops, with some big name chains such as: Esprit, Virgin, Sephora, Bodum and Perigot.  It’s a great stop for last minute shopping.

This store has a variety of selections from home wares to design.  It was given and extensive facelift in 2003 and the beautiful ironwork and mosaics make it a delight to shop in.  There is also a gorgeous view from the top floor restaurant.  For a wonderful shopping experience stop by La Samaritaine.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see some beautiful Christmas displays.   These two stores try to outdo each other with who has the more spectacular decorations. Galeries goes for a Royal Christmas theme while Printemps is doing a British Christmas.   Revelers will be delighted with their efforts.
