Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie, the definition of French luxury

One of the newest and most haute couture spas to open recently in Paris is Spa Le Bristol Spa by La Prairie, the definition of French luxury. Designed by Maja Oetker herself with the guiding collaboration of famous architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, the 3-level spa bathes you in natural light and fresh air, above all when you book one of their treatment rooms with a private garden terrace. Or, reserve one of the “Duo” cabins and be sure to ask for the one that comes with its own Turkish and whirlpool baths in addition to the private balcony terrace. Relaxation spa nibbles are provided by Chef Eric Frechon, Le Bristol’s own chef with three Michelin stars.

Color palette of serene sand and tan is no less than what you would expect from one of the world’s most iconic luxury hotels made immortal by Woody Allen’s Midnight In Paris. With accents of amber and gold that lend warmth and white orchids that grace small nooks, the overall ambiance is welcoming and peaceful. In addition to their Parisian exclusive La Prairie alliance, they also offer a multi-hydro treatment room, the “Russian Room,” singularly situated underneath the main treatment area where a Russian Spa Treatment is offered using medicinal herbs combined simultaneously with water therapy as you receive your full body massage.

This range of treatments is based on the traditional Russian "Banïya" which include gently beating the body with “veniks,” birch branches infused with essential oils believed to have stress-relieving, regenerative and medicinal properties. To respect the traditional Russian spa modality, Spa Le Bristol equipped their Russian Room with a heated marble table and an affusion shower, the first of its kind in Paris. Products for these treatments are from the Russie Blanche line.

Other beauty products used in body treatments are The Organic Pharmacy based on high-performance organic ingredients; Les Thermes Marin de St. Malo which feature trace minerals and innovative active marine ingredients specially designed for body treatments that fuse sensory stimulation with performance; and a pure argan oil based line from Maison de l’Argan, rich in skin-softening and rejuvenating properties as well as anti-oxidants that neutralise free radicals.

For makeup the By Terry line by Yves Saint Laurent’s former makeup manager was also chosen with care for its precious pigments and unusual textures, perfect for the passionate woman. The facial treatments are devoted to La Prairie in keeping with the Oetker rule of surrounding oneself with nothing but the best.

Signature Treatments

* Rituel Rose de Mai

This 100% natural, 80-minute treatment is a tribute to the hotel’s rose garden. It has been especially designed for Spa Le Bristol by The Organic Pharmacy and begins with a foot massage and acupressure point treatment. Next comes a Rose de Mai body scrub with rose petals and essential oils to bring out your skin’s natural shine. A full-body Rose de Mai oil massage intoxicates the senses into complete relaxation which is then enhanced by a scalp and facial massage.

* Private Bristol For Traveler

This in-room treatment is designed to alleviate jet lag and reinvigorate the weary traveler. This is a 45-minute remedial massage administered in the privacy of your room and is sure to help relieve the stress of traveling.

After-treatment relaxation can take the form of sipping a hot ginger and lemon infusion on one of the private garden terraces with your spa companion, if you booked one of the two couple’s rooms, or you can always don your swimsuit and head upstairs where their swimming pool, designed like a teakwood deck of a ship, offers painted mural views on Cap d’Antibes and window views onto the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré rooftops. There is also a fitness room on the spa level and a hair salon on the ground floor.

When you want only the best, with gracious service, and your taste in luxury runs towards refinement and elegance, Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie will transport you to a suspended moment in time where only luxury and well-being are the measurements that matter. Le Bristol CEO Didier Le Calvez welcomes the chance to offer this new experiential haven of French art de vivre and luxury in the heart of Paris at Spa Le Bristol by La Prairie. Le Bristol also offers a children’s playroom, Les Amis d’Hyppolyte, where your little ones, ages 4-12, will be delighted by the games, coloring and craft projects that Hyppolyte, the hotel’s white rabbit mascot, will propose for them while you are pampered throughout your spa escape.
