Pierrefonds is a magical little unimposing village about an hour from central Paris. I love how driving just out of the capitol I am completely surrounded by nature.
On this warm autumn afternoon I took my 5 year-old daughter out on her first pedal boat and we discovered the lake together slowly and inquisitively. The serenity of this lake and the reflection I capture while my daughter was pedaling furiously create a memory I will hold dear.
For me this is the essence of photography, the act of capturing a pure moment in time, not before and not after which leaves some imagination and interpretation for the viewer.
