Thanks Marie and Stacy! Will try to get there this coming week.

You're welcome wink.gif ! Bonnes courses ! Cordialement.

You can also use the RATP's trip planner ("itinéraire") to find which one is closest via public transport, though you'd have to enter the address for each store separately and then compare.

Unless they've opened any new stores since November 2005, the easiest one for me to get to from central Paris was Villiers sur Marne via RER and then bus. We went out there to buy a €30 desk and ended up spending more than that on the taxi ride back to Paris! You can order a lot of the larger things now from their website, and smaller items you can probably manage to take with you on public transport. It will take a good chunk of your day to get there, shop, and get back.

Thank you so much Marie. Can I assume that the first one on your list is the closest to central Paris (we are in the 5th)?

De rien !

I don't know. If you type "mairie du 5ème arrondissement" in the box, called "départ", they say it takes 52 minutes by car and it is a 39 km drive to get to Plaisir...

Then, if you type "mairie du 5ème arrondissement" to get an itinerary to get to Evry Ikea, they say it takes 45 minutes and it's a 32 km drive...

Go and have a look at the map they give you each time... Cordialement.

PS : I've gone and edited my previous message so that you can find the time and distance between the mairie of your 5ème arrondissement and each Ikéa store, but, it only concerns itineraries by car...

Which is the closest to central Paris and the easiest to get to (apparently there is one that only requires a metro trip and a walk not a metro and a bus)?
Many thanks
