Oh Ellen .. there are plenty of people and so much to do. It just feels a bit less frenetic. FYI - fewer Parisians are able to take off the entire month. I love walking the city. August is rarely killer hot in Paris. I walked and walked and even though my favorite bakery around the corner wasn't open, so many were. And - museums do not close in Aug.
