That's interesting. If you'd lived in France (or other parts of the EU), cost would be an issue. The IHT costs nearly $3 per issue.

I hate cutting down trees and having newspaper ink rub off on everything. STILL .. I do love reading the newspaper while I am still in bed.
Though I love the feel of real newspaper in my hands, I hate having to throw away... they always seemed to pile up around me waiting for the paper recycle day. So I stopped buying them about a year ago and read them online now. I do read them at work though -- still enjoy turning paper pages. Cost was never an issue for me -- it's really the pile of old papers that annoys...
Ellen -- I cannot believe how many times per day I consult my cell phone for the time. Plus I am reading an increasing amount of material (as well as doing research) on line. The new world!
I read the IHT every morning on my computer. My husband reads several online every morning. Our local paper comes to the door, but it's getting thinner and thinner. I enjoy pulling the NY Times apart every Sunday, but it's just a matter of time before it will all be online, I'm convinced. I prefer reading the physical paper, though; it's easier for me than reading it online (am I showing my age?:)

It's just like watches. I was talking to someone the other day who said that watches will be a thing of the past because you have the time on your cell phone/iphone/blackberry.
How many of our readers read newspapers on the Internet? I will always miss holding a physical newspaper but .....

They many be soon be dinosaurs. Too expensive to produce and to distribute. What do you think?
