There's been a great deal of discussion about fashion when it comes to the French and American First Ladies.

what's your take??
Ursula, now You do look good, innocent, and happy! I did not realize that you could put a photo of yourself there smile.gif

Chuck,
You'll find the water melon under 'My Controls', 'Personal Profile' and then 'Avatar Settings'.
However, I have put this cute little angel till the end of the year which, however, isn't within the choice of BP Avatars'. I have it in my personal Mac files. What I realize is that the angel is now on all my posts and the water melon is gone.
I like it and then, people finally know what I look like! laugh.gif wub.gif
I think the discussion of the week should be Post offices. Too much e-mail cards and not enough people buying cards and mailing them to CLOSE family and friends. I do send virtual cards to virtual friends, only because I may not have their home address or too many abroad that it becomes very expensive.
Ursula, by the way where did you get that piece of water melon, and how did you put it there? My mouth is watering each time I look at it!

Just an idea for the "Discussion of the week"...
About a discussion regarding the forthcoming Holidays, comparing Americans and French traditions?
Personally, I like a big "Réveillon de Noël" with the entire family.
"The whole nine yards" Oysters - Smoke salmon - Boudin Blanc - Patés - Crêpes flambées - and all sorts of other goodies.
Then, for the "Réveillon du jour de l'an", just a nice quiet one with my wife of forty years with a good bottle of "Veuve Cliquot", followed by wub.gif a good rest of the night sleep, and finishing up the Champagne for breakfast. rolleyes.gif
I have great memories of the "Réveillons in France" and I have tried to keep the tradition here in the States.
Joyeux Réveillon to all.
Mike
Poor Al!

Aren't we all working hard to figure out everything about this new forum?
Let's just wub a little.... wub.gif wub.gif laugh.gif

I am already happy I managed to insert my signature and the water melon.
Although a nice piece of dark chocolate wouldn't be bad either.

I'm just a visitor now, Chuck, so I don't want to have to think very hard!

I'm a visitor too and I'm thinking harder now than ever.......even when I had my own responsibilities!!
Chuck,

trust me, they DO know it! I just haven't figure out how to remove my old title. I started the board before I resigned so that's why it's there.

I tried to edit my profile, my signature and it's not there so I don't know where it's located. Can anyone help?
Lara, you say that you are just a visitor! You know this, now I know it also, but remember BP does not know it. They still consider you as the Director of Communications See: left of your note!). Just have fun, do not push it, and enjoy and keep in touch.

Lara, why don't you just start a subject?

I miss the Discussion of the Week, too! It was done between Phyllis and Andrea and they changed the newsletter format and stopped doing it. I think it was a good idea and vote for bringing it back.

Chuck,

sorry, I don't know the difference between the two modes. Most of the extra features have been set up since I was originally set up this board.
If I can add my two cents, I miss the Discussion of the Week.
I think Lara, this was a good idea, however it was started allways by a staff memeber (whoever he/she is).

Incidentally do you know what the difference between Guided mode and Normal Mode is?

BP Chuck
We haven't had a Discussion of the Week since late October. Should this forum be deleted or will it start up again?
