We really need to get all these posts moved into Normandy, etc. so they don't get lost.
Thank you for your nice comments Al, I am only trying to "earn my keep" at Bonjour Paris...No more freeloading cool.gif
The train trip from Gare Saint Lazare to Rouen takes one hour and ten minutes depending on the time of day.
One thing that I enjoy making the trip to Rouen is to sit on the upper deck of the double decker cars where you can see a whole lot more of the Countryside and it does not cost anymore than the regular second class fare.
I believe that the double decker cars are still in operation, I will check it out.
I love flying, but I am still crazy about travelling by train in France; when they are not on strike that is mad.gif

BPAL and I are looking for all the posts pertaining to "Day trips to Rouen", (not day trip from Paris.)

Actually I am planning to make this a day trip from Paris the end of April. Thanks to the info from Mike I know the trip from St. Lazarre is barely half an hour so one can really have a full day there with no buses or taxis to transfer to. From Downtown to Downtown as they say.

And thanks to Mike who is a fellow BPer serving above and beyond the call of duty.
Mike,

I found a bunch by searching on your name, but I don't think all of them came up.

Friend BPAL and I are looking for all the posts pertaining to "Day trips to Rouen", (not day trip from Paris.)
Probably due to my own fault by posting on different forums, we are having the heck of a time recovering those posts.
I found a few under "NORMANDY" and under "TRAINS IN FRANCE" but I cannot remember where else I may have posted some info about my hometown; maps, bus and subway routes, etc.
If anyone else find posts about Rouen in other forums, your help would be most appreciated.
Merci beaucoup y'all.
