How anyone can refute the existence of global warming is beyond me.

What do you think Stacy?
Those people have the same mentality as the "flat Earth society"
Just take a look at the headlines this Morning:
A video spoof making fun of Al Gore and global warming recently ran on the popular Web site http://YouTube.com. One newspaper suspects a Republican PR firm produced the video.
Thanks for caring about this disaster in the making...

The same high temperatures occurred in the US, but at least air conditioning is much more prevalent there so it's easier for most people to tolerate.

Record highs in the northern hemisphere, record lows in the southern hemisphere (in South Africa)... it's time to stop looking at these things as atypical phenomena and start seeing them as indicative of things to come. How anyone can refute the existence of global warming is beyond me.

If I can permit myself a very bad bilingual play on words and with apologies to Bob Dylan, "oh the temps they are a-changin'." laugh.gif

when are the powers that be -- focus on global warming?

When they are sent in the desert naked and without water...
OK, that's a bit extreme... Let them keep their underwears...
We already have witnessed enough horrors as it is...
Thank you for being aware of the Global Warming and taking it seriously... too many idiots fail to understand it.

The heatwave that struck most of France in the second half of July was a factor in the deaths of 112 people, according to figures from the Health Monitoring Institute (INVS).

July was the hottest in France on record, with average temperatures up to four degrees Celsius above normal, according to the state meteorological office.

However 112 people is "nothing" compared to the cancicule of a few years ago. Some people died of heat prostration while working outdoors doing construction; while others (the elderly) did from "natural causes." Goes to show medical official and a government can educate the public about when to stay out of the heat.

The same high temperatures occurred in the US. Hot is Hot but this is CRAZY. Please -- when are the powers that be -- focus on global warming?
