Jean...this is a location and subject we have gone into in depth over the years and I think when I have time I am going to take a BP trip into vintage posts and some more recent. The lady co-owner (her partner is the husband chef) is the daughter of one of the American founders of NY's once famous Lutece.
Likewise, Al; we always have a meal at Le Feu Follet and will do so again this year. Very good restaurant with moderate prices and a lovely location right on the main square of Vieux Mougins.
Terrijohn......Mougins is one of our favorite places and although we stay in Cannes when on the Cote D'Azur we always go to Mougins for a dinner. You say you spent 5 days there. Cant you tell us more about your stay there other than the hotel?
Hotel Les Muscadins. Our group of seven stayed in this wonderful small hotel in Mougins for 6 nights in June and I can highly recommend everything about it. The staff was outstanding (pleasant, helpful, engaging, hardworking); the guest rooms were delightfully decorated; the public rooms were lush and colorful, filled with luxurious furniture; and the food (breakfast and dinner) was plentiful and delicious and there is a wonderful terrace for outdoor dining. (Don't miss the special chocolate fondant dessert.) We hated to leave, even though Paris was our next destination. This hotel is affiliated with Le Mas Candille, also in Mougins.
