Ellen, I have some pieces with the olives pattern, too! I love every pattern and I always have trouble picking a piece (or several) when I am buying. I found and bought a tablecloth in the olives pattern when I was in Paris and since my dishes are mixed, I mixed up the napkins; sunflowers, cigales and olives. I also have a lovely tablecloth I found in NY City years ago -- yellow with orange paisleys and scallops edging. Very pretty with the dishes! It all works nicely somehow in my dining room which is a mocha color with cream trim.

Not sure if I will go to Aix or not in March. I've been searching for Paris apartments and found a lovely one on VRBO so I have to work out the details and dates in my mind, on paper and for real! I'd so love to go, just not sure if two days in Aix is enough... And then as I search around Paris, I think of the tons of things I want to do and see. Big sigh... I really need to sit down at a table with a pot of cafe and a bunch of people with great ideas and suggestions! smile.gif
Of course, the Terre e Provence store has a variety of patterns and that's what was so hard for me. I ended up buying the square plates because they were so unique and I bought a variety of patterns; the ones in Mimi's link, olives, and others. One of mine is a cigale on an olive branch which I love.

Mimi, this picture is beautiful. I didn't buy a tablecloth, but that's on the list for my next trip. It adds so much to the overall effect.

Minette, did you decide to go to Aix when you return in March?
Cigale! Those are my dishes! LOVE those! What a beautiful picture. Thanks for posting that! I have actually mixed other patterns in for my salad and soup dishes and serving pieces. But all of mine have the mustard-yellow background.

Lucky meee! I found a medium-sized pitcher today at Home Goods! It was only $40.00. It says the original price is $80.00 and I think that's about right.

I have several baking dishes too, but I only use them on special occasions, which is also when I use the dishes, except if I'm feeling fancy... or if I'm making a salade chevre chaude wink.gif

I just love the feel and style of them

If I may intrude for a sec I have three of the square and three of the oval baking dishes but they are so-0-0 heavy!!
Back to that BEE! That is me! A cicada is a cigale. They sing all summer in the trees and are a motif of Provence. My mouse potato name is cigalechanta. singing cigale. I collect them but prefer old ones.

Aix, the lovely moss covered fountains on the cours is one of the famous features.

Yes, very heavy. And I was told that the ones I have can't go into the dishwasher. I don't know why except that they have an earthenware-type bottom, or maybe it's due to the finish on the dishes. Anyway, I haven't been bold enough to try.

Yes, Mimi, I was thinking of you when I mentioned the cigales. Glad you joined in the discussion. rolleyes.gif
