Al mentions the possibility of a get-together in NYC. With warning, we could get up there and make it a long weekend by visiting our son. There are lots of great places to choose from. Maybe Al could set it up. Also, if we do it soon, the DADA exhibit at the MOMA is still going on. Tommy

If it works with my schedule, I'm always up for a weekend in New York.

And just asking in a very preliminary way, as I don't think I could make it til next year - would there be any interest in a get-together in Atlanta. The exhibits from the Louvre will be rotating over a three-year period, beginning this September or October.

Is anybody from NYC up for arranging a BP reunion there? As to Atlanta, Anna, keep me posted. I have to be down there for a conference in a few months. It would be a welcome break from schmoozing folks at a brain injury conference! T

Chuck.......I don't want anybody to pin a medal on me but from day 1 (which was so so long ago) I immediately said this was a "cookie" problem and could be easily fixed. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago and Andrea walked me thru the BP problems just as Mili did for you yesterday. This should have been fixed on Day 1 or Day 2 at the worst.

WELCOME BACK

Atlanta would be great - for those in Paris withdrawal, there's a large exhibit from the Louvre coming to the High Museum in September, I believe (running about a year).

If there's anyone in this range interested in a dinner, I'd be happy to help coordinate.

Thank you Anna. Do we have a southern contingency? Atlanta?
Please speak up!
I'm in the South - 4 - 7 hours driving from most of the larger cities in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia.

If there's anyone in this range interested in a dinner, I'd be happy to help coordinate.
Anna - where do you live?
Since the thread regarding the Washington get-together has been closed, this seems the most sensible place to post. Enjoyed reading about it and seeing that everyone enjoyed themselves; at one point I'd been half-tempted to make the trip, but will just keep watching for future plans.
Could we please change all issues regarding technical problems to

.... Bonjour Paris does its VERY best -- but we are not responsible for each and every readers' computers and the configurations!.......
Hummmmmmmmmmm -- perhaps, we should start charging for technical support. Microsoft does @ $25 per hour! The man who works on my computer charges $80 per hour. He's great and FAST -- would you like his email address. Robert can frequently do things remotely! NO house calls!.....

My issue with BP a couple of weeks ago was some weirdness with my ISP number being blocked. It took me three weeks of investigating, calls and emails til it was finally figured out by the server people. And only because the BP server and the other website I could not access used the same server - or else I might still have the same issue!!

I had another computer issue a few months ago - I had to reload the whole operating system and all the programs and files - I had a computer guy do it - it took eight hours to reformat my drive and put everything back - I almost could have bought a new computer for the what I paid him......

And we didn't have to find a rocket engineer which Mili ain't.

AL - We pay Mili a decent sum of money to work on the BP site. She has her Masters in Information technology. We hated having Chuck off-line. But, please understand, that Mili's time is by NO means FREE.

-- In a perfect world -- you are EVER so right. However, considering Chuck has a new computer, he should have called the supplier -- and/or Microsoft. Bonjour Paris does its VERY best -- but we are not responsible for each and every readers' computers and the configurations!

My goodness.....I wasn't doing any fingerpointing. And we didn't have to find a rocket engineer which Mili ain't. It was a plain matter of a new PC not having the cookies necessary for recognition and a shame that Chuck was out of BP contact for a month or so.

We all agree - Chuck -we're so happy that you're home!
Welcome Back, Chuck.

We missed you!

BP Chuck (if somebody still remembers me)

We remember you and are so glad you're home! WELCOME! We've missed you.
Al, I do not quite belive it, but I am contacting you on BP!!!!It really looked like I can not get on, but all of a sudden I was on (And do not ask me why. Anyhow I just received an e-mail from Mili Das, that my name Member ID ) was.. and my Password was:... It was the same I tried to us and als the password was the one I registered on Dec. 11 ???. Now I did remember that that was the one I used (or changed to). Now the quation will be, can I stay on? and can I get back on?
Thank you to ALL who tried to hel[p me: Karen, Al, Mili Das and all others. It finally worked.
Incidentally the name I got today, was a little bit off, it said my name is BPChuck. I could not get on with it, I did reemember that I had a space between the BP and Chuck: BP Chuck, I finally remembered the space, and this time it worked (previously It did not work, as I did not remember the pass-word, untill Mili Das mentioned it.

BP Chuck (if sombody still remebers me)
I live in the South, but not in any of the major areas. The other board isn't Paris-related (or even travel) related; it's for gymnastics, and about 25 or 30 of us all got together at a competition in Amsterdam last year.
Anna.....where are you located?? And what's your other board? wink.gif Where was their "outing"?
Al . . . i had a great time meeting members from my "other board" last year, and think it would be great to meet some of the BPers. I'm afraid I'm probably a bit out of the way of most people (at least the really active ones) here (in addition to living in a not desirable area), and work and limited vacation would probably limit my ability to get to other gatherings, but if everything fell right, I certainly wouldn't rule out travelling at some point for a get-together.
Really don't understand it. So many additions to our clan, so many new and often posters and yet there are no plans anywhere for our get togethers. Paris and most certainly the North East quadrant of the US (our last NY one had almost 40 happy BPers) and NOTHING happening....oh,yes, there are a couple of people from DC and Philly teasing each other of where to hold it. Significantly I am about the only one in the NY area that was previously involved in arrangements that is still active on BP . While I can't do the meat and potatos work I can be an aid-de-camp or "senior statesman" wink.gif .
