Musee Valentin Hauy: Museum for the Blind
(Valentin Haüy Museum)
This private museum is committed to education of the blind. It is located in the Valentin Haüy Association building. It was established in 1886 to honor Valentin Haüy (1745-1822), founder of the first school for the blind.
The museum’s collection has books, equipment and other interesting bits and pieces dating from the late 1700s through present day to assist and educate the visually impaired.
