Musée National du Moyen Age
(National Museum of the Middle Ages)
Founded in 1843 by Alexandre Du Sommerard, the National Museum of the Middle Ages has grown to house a great collection of art of historical objects dating from the 15th century. Sometimes called the Musée de Cluny, the National Museum of the Middle Ages consists of two structures: the frigidarium, which houses the Gallo-Roman baths from the 1st to 3rd centuries, and the Hôtel de Cluny from the late 15th century.
The collections include works such as gothic sculptures, goldsmith’s work and ivory, paintings, stained glass, and a fabulous compilation of tapestries. The visitor can also enjoy the Medieval Garden, which includes the Jardin d’Amour (Garden of Love) and the Forêt de la Licorne, based on the famous tapestries.

The Cluny Museum (Musée national du moyen age) in the Paris 5th was once the home of Mary Tudor, widow of Louis XII. There you'll see preserved Roman ruins where the City of Paris began, the famous Lady and the Unicorn Tapestries and sculptures from the Roman, Middle and Gothic periods.
